Going Home - At Home

Your baby at home

The first few days at home with a baby who has spent time in the neonatal unit may be both exciting and a little bit scary. It is great to have your baby safely home at last.

You might have a lot of questions that you had not thought of asking when your baby was in the neonatal unit.

This section provides you with guidance about the environment for your baby; going out with them; sleep safety; establishing a routine; their feeding and growth; follow-up care; and recognising if they are unwell and what to do. Remember to take one day at a time.
